I am in the race for LAWSAN presidency to restore the integrity of LAWSAN

Our team of Reporters caught up with a foremost Presidential Aspirant of LAWSAN, inspite of his busy schedule, he granted us an interview.

read the excerpts.

Who is Inyene John?

Inyene John is just a simple human being, I was born in a quiet Village in Akwa Ibom state and that makes me a Nigerian. I am a Christian. I am presently by the grace of God a final year Law student of the University of Uyo.
Inyene John

Recently, you have become a much-talked about personality in LAWSAN to the extent of almost looking larger than life, what's the secret of your charisma? I mean what makes people like you this much?

Hahahha, I am really humbled to hear that from you, but I am just aware for the first time. I do not think I am anyway close to being larger than  life. I am just someone like any other person, probably, if you say people like me, it can only be because I love people, I really do... I listen to them when they are down and rejoice with them when they are up, that's probably the reason, i do not give up on people,I do not give them money, i do just the little things within my capacity to make them happy,I believe I have been able to grasp the meaning of real happiness by identifying with people, not when you need them but when they need you.

Why are you in the race?

This is a very critical question. Initially, I was not keen about this course, I am a very conservative person. I thought I could hide and make my grades and graduate and become a Lawyer, but I discovered that along the line that people, students are not really satisfied about so many things in LAWSAN and i have this gift of reading questions on people's faces, when I listen to them, I hear words of deep sorrows, sadness and hope regarding LAWSAN. I am not really skilful in boastfulness, but I am in the race for LAWSAN presidency to restore the integrity of LAWSAN, and return the Association to the students. I want to bring back those glory days of LAWSAN grants and academic laurels, not only physical development, but mental revival and excellence.
Inyene John at 2015 LAWSAN dinner

Many perceive that you do not have a Godfather and as such, you may have financial difficulty.

Hahahha... You know, it is really a funny thing to hear that peopke have Godfathers in Students Associations, it is really really funny. But I want to state here that, i am just a student, and what I have are the students, with the support and protection of God, and the encouragement of my fellow students, I do not think I need any other Godfather. I have discovered that one with God is majority.

Do you do campaign of calumny?

This is a very good question. You know, as a student of law, I know the legal implication of calumny, and will not want to engage in it for whatever reason. As a person, I am guided by the principles of the Christian religion which says "remove the log from your eyes before you see it in the eyes of your fellow man" and as such, I have never indulged in it. However, and as expected in politics, people do it for political reasons. We have heard many demeaning things said against our personalities, but I have always advised that we play according to the rules of honour, having recourse to the fact that, LAWSAN is but a transit camp in out earthly sojourn.
The Prince Relaxing

One last word for LAWSANites

Remain stoic, trust in your dreams, come out en-masse and prove to the world that indeed, in every situation #Godwin.

10 Reasons You Should Vote Iyene John for LAWSAN President

1. INTELLIGENT
In January 2009, Americans were faced with a dilemma of choosing between John McCain, a war hero, who will die for America and Barack Obama, an intelligent youngman who had the answer to the problems of United States of America.. Americans chose Obama, not for the mere fact that he is black, it was because ideas rule the world and at that time, Obama was proffering solutions to the problems America was faced with.

Lawsanites will also chose Inyene because he has the solutions to the numerous problems facing lawsanites especially human capacity development and one most unique trait in him is that he doesn't lack solutions to a problem, if you doubt me, fire him with a hypothetical problem and watch him break it down realistically. His position at the top of his Class is a clear testament to his intelligence. Iyene John is a beacon of hope to countless LAWSANites as he has proven that though money can by grades, it cannot by good brains.

2. HONESTY
One quality that eludes most of the politicians we have in our nation Nigeria, Inyene John is honest to the core. He will always tell you what it is and not what you want to hear, that is why most people like him.

3. APPROACHABLE AND OPTIMISTIC
If a poll should be conducted on which lawsanite is the most approachable, i wouldnt be surprise if Inyene John is at the summit. He is not proud, good at listening, he is always available because he stays in the hostel most times, he relates with everyone very
well because he feels, as a leader he should be a servant and not a BOSS. I like his optimism even when people think there is no hope, he always believes there will be a way.

4. HUMBLE AND CONFIDENT
Humility is his watch word, though he is badly intelligent, he doesn't let that get into his head. Inyene John respects everyone including his different opponents, despite the series of unfair attacks in the form of propagandas he
receives on daily basis.Just like Jesus' disciples, he doesnt allow it to affect who he is-a strong trait of a great leader.

He is also very confident in all his actions and that he will deliver on all his promises.

5. SIMPLICITY
I was fairly young when Barack Obama was doing his campaign to become the President of the United State Of America. The first black man ever to have dared to try that. His campaign slogan 'YES WE CAN' inspired me.

Mc'Cain his opponent, a white man, has a stronghold in Los Angele's which by virtue of its population, was densely populated by the whites, and it was predicted that Obama will lose woefully in Los Angeles.

Probably because Los Angeles was full of rich white folks. Obama courageously mounted the rostrum and in his effort to make his campaign speech he said "Dear country men and women, I have tasted what it feels like to walk 50 miles from my house to school, and I have also had the privilege of driving in porch cars, I think I am balanced to lead both the rich and the poor" immediately after that speech, the scale of voting started increasing, Obama's scale increased and towered above Mc'Cain's.

This young intellectual can be likened to Obama in LA who knows what it feels to trek to school on a sunny day. Inyene John is capable of leading both the rich and the poor

6. STRONG CHARACTER
In the midst of a gentle and meek soul is a very strong character that stands for justice, Inyene John can go to the end of the world and back to see you smile, he makes every LAWSANites problem his own. He is always uncomfortable when a LAWSANite is uncomfortable. I saw this when a colleague of mine approach him based on a missing test result last semester,he provided solutions which was followed and the
issue was resolved.

7. A TRUE CHRISTIAN
A true christian, Inyene John possess all the qualities of a true christian as required by the holy book, his shibboleth is same as God's and above all, he is God fearing.

8. TEACHER
He has worked as a teacher, he is a successful teacher who has all the weaponry in his vessel to quench the fire in LAWSAN and rebrand it, he has the experience to turn the tide,
he knows how to help LAWSANites to improve on their grade, better grades.

9. HARDWORKING AND INDEPENDENT
Inyene John works very hard, we can see that in his grades, he does not give up when it matters most, he is always there for anyone even non-Lawsanites. He is independent because as we all know, he is on his own, no sponsors, no godfather, so he owes his loyalty to no one but God, him and him alone...

10. IDEAS AND COMMITMENT
Ideas they say rules the world, a man sat down and thought about travelling to the moon, he made the necessary device. It was ideas that made that possible, not age or experience. He has little money compared to others but he is loaded with ideas and as we know Ideas rule the world... Inyene John knows how to get things done and not just getting things done, but in the right way and manner...His commitment to his life ideals and ideas is second to none.

The best hand to leave LAWSAN in!!!...and one more thing,he is always happy and smiles alot # lols ...maybe because he knows God will never let him down because his plans for LAWSAN are genuine!!!

Uwemedimo Dominic (Deity) gives LAWSAN a timely warning

Deity Warns LAWSANites against perjury.

The ferocious and intrepid Activist in University of Uyo and Chief Press Secretary to the 2014/2015 LAWSAN Government Uwemedimo Dominic (Paapa Akpan) has issued out a timely warning to those seeking elective offices in LAWSAN and threatens to re-awaken the LAWSAN High Court from its current state of doldrums in a move he described as helping the Federal government fight impunity by instituting action against those who will lie under oath before standing election.

In a statement which the foremost Activists released 13/1/2016 which he titled "LAWSAN, ATTENTION! BEFORE THE ELECTION" admonished political desperados in the Faculty vying to contest an election in LAWSAN to "open a LAWSAN Constitution as a matter of legal duty to check and be sure that he has the Constitutional requirements in terms of CGPA to stand for their respective offices before they purchase forms."

If there is anything this no nonsense activist is known for is that he does not issue out empty threats. It can be recalled that in this 2015/2016 session, he dragged the College of ClassReps to court for what he perceived as usurpation of the powers of the Vice President.

He craved the indulgence of his colleagues (memners of his Constituency) to pay particular attention as they will not be shielded from prosecution if they are found wanting.

AN ESOTERIC CONFESSION TO THE COSMOS

Creator of all human life, we reverend you.

In your image and equality all human being was made. May we continuously dedicate ourselves to defending the embryo and all those threatened by the culture of death. We ask You to touch the hearts of all mothers considering abortion, the abortionists, and those who support killing preborn babies.

Soon, you knew of me My mother - my father
I had no say in my being
I lived on trust And love
Tho' I could not think,
Each part of me was saying a silent 'Wait for me, I will bring you love!'

There was no SAN, to take my brief.
I was judged guilty before I was even heard.
The cot I might have warmed,
Stood in Maigari's shop window.

When my passing was told, my father smiled,
My mother breath a sigh of relief.
I was the scar she was not ready to wear on her face.

No grief filled my empty space.
My death was celebrated.

My shining feet will never run
On early morning lawn;
My feet were crushed before they had
A chance to greet the dawn
My fingers will never stretch
My race was done before I learned
The smallest steps to take
My growing height will never be
Recorded on a wall;
My growth was stopped when I was still Unseen and very small
My lips and tongue will never taste
The good fruits of the earth;
For I myself was judged to be
A fruit of little worth
My eyes will never scan the sky
For my high-flying kite;
For when still blind, destroyed were they In the black womb of the night
I will never stand upon a hill
Aborted winds of thought closed in
On motherhood's despair
My dream stolen;
Before I had the chance to close my eyes
I will never walk the shores of life
Or know the tides of time;
For I was coming but unloved,
And what was my only crime?
Nameless am I, a grain of sand
One of the countless dead.

Open letter to my future wife

OPEN LETTER TO MY FUTURE WIFE

Dear Future Wife,

You do not know me yet, maybe you do, you could have seen me already but have no idea it's me. You are probably wondering why I am even writing to you. I find a lot of anxiety trying to craft the right sentences so I wouldn't be chastised for being boring. I may not be able to convey my thoughts, my feelings, my love in words, but do not underestimate me yet.

Whether you are reading this before you meet me or stumble upon it later, there are some things I would like you to know about me because someday, I am going to marry you. Whichever way, please remember to bring a copy of this letter to our wedding as it will be good laugh for our guests.

I am a compassionate and an intrepid fellow, qualities I know were inherent in me while growing up. I may not have admitted it as an inchoate child, but I have great respect for my mother and my father. Though we argue sometimes, I never lost my respect for them. My dad, though not perfect, treated my mom like a Queen. He never belittled her, he never second guessed her decisions, he stood by her all the time. His love is a perfect example for me and my siblings to follow.

My mother, she is a darling, she is the definition of the word "mama" as she encapsulates all the virtues of a good mother. She is beautiful as she is tender. She have set the bar as to the qualities of a good wife and mother so high that I sometimes feel that finding you might be asking for the impossible. Mama is my Queen, that's why, i am going to treat you like a Princess, so you'll know I was raised like Royalty.

I write this letter to you because very soon, I will approach my own turn at marriage as I grow older an wiser, I would want to be your husband. I truly want to be your husband. A husband that will love, cherish and make you feel always special because the way i love a woman is part of who I am and not dependant on who i am with.

Dear future wife, I have always imagined what you'll look like, are you curvy, short, tall, dark, Igbo, Yoruba, Chinese? You don't have to be perfect, you have to be worth it, because in my eyes, it won't matter what you wear, how/what you look like, how much you weigh, what is your past, or what you perceive to be your imperfections, it will all be beauty to me. Sure, I am a sucker for soulful eyes and nice spread of good dentition when a lady smiles, your body will never be what defines your beauty, but rather the lasting and important things. Your soul, your heart, your mind, these are where a woman's true essence is and these are the things I will fall in love with.

However, do not misinterpret me by thinking your body will go unnoticed by me. Instead I will worship your body as if I've been wandering the desert for 20 years and you are the blessing of a cool, wet spring. I will know every freckle on your physique and wonder at them as though they were constellations in the night sky. I will
glorify every inch of your skin with gentle caresses of fingertips and soft lips, greedy palms and a hungry tongue. Holding you close while you sleep each
night will be the reason that I can't wait to go to bed each night, and why I will dread leaving our bed each morning. I will watch your breath steady and listen to the inevitable sounds you will make in the twilight between slumber and dreaming. I will fall asleep with the familiar scent of
your hair and skin filling my nostrils. I
will hold you as close as possible, our
breath and hearts syncing up as we drift off. I pledge to never stop doing the little things for you.

When you have a bad day I commit to lay you down and massage the sinewy, stress-knotted areas of your neck, your back and anywhere else you carry your stress. I will cook with you (not for you, I'm not s very good cook, not like my big brother) as often as possible. We'll do bible studies together.

I'll give you random gifts, just because you deserve gifts everyday. If you're
scared of spiders, or any bugs really, I
will always get them for you. I will also
try to do huge romantic gestures too but I'm a huge awkward nerd so they will inevitable be really cheesey...it's just who I am. These are the truths
about how I will love you when i find you.

I can promise i won't be perfect, and I'm going to mess up... maybe a lot. But I will always love you and be committed to you. If we have arguments, I'll rather lose the argument than lose a partner. I won't hesitate to always say I'm sorry, no matter who's right or wrong.

I will be the one who will recognize your goodness. I will be the one who will respect you and appreciate your high moral standards. I will be the one who will admire the way you respect yourself. I will be the one to hold your
hand when you need affection. I will be the one to kiss your cheek when you feel lonely. I will be the one who will hold you when you need to feel secure, i am an activist, i will always stand, defend and protect you. I will be the
one who will comfort you in your sadness and share in your happiness. I will be the one who will be by your side as you bring our children into the world. I will be the one who will love you as if each day was our last together. All these i'll do because your soft touch will weaken me. Your eyes will enthrall me. Your beauty will mesmerize me. Your goodness will enamor me. Your virtues will captivate me. Your trust will engross me. Upon securing your trust, my heart, mind and soul will finally find peace and contentment.

What will draw me to you, more than anything else, however is your love for God. And your attempt to follow His will. Your continued faith and love for God, through the failures and the triumphs, through the laughter and the tears, will only increase my love for you. So, please continue to be patient and wait for me. We will soon meet and begin our life together. And with the grace of God, through faithful devotion and loving sacrife, we will attain eternal happiness in Heaven.

I know I’m making all these plans without considering you but I’ll be willing to change all or accept any modifications from you even though I pray you love them too.

Yours inevitably,
Aluzu Ebikebuna A.

My name is Moses, and I will lead my people to the
Promised Land – Moses Siloko Siasia, Bayelsa State
Governorship aspirant

Posted by Admin

Moses Siloko Siasia is a a 34-year-old successful
Nigerian businessman who has decided to contest
the Bayelsa state governorship election
having waited patiently for a chance to change the
political environment in Bayelsa state. He believes
that he has what it takes to take Bayelsa state from
the backwater fringes to the Promised Land.
Below is the Press Statement released by the 34-
year-old successful businessman announcing his
intention to contest Yenagoa, Bayelsa June 9, 2015:

My name is Moses Siloko Siasia. I am a young successful Nigerian
businessman who has decided to run for office of
the Governor for my home state of Bayelsa,
Nigeria. The age limit to run for the office of
Governor in our constitution is thirty five. I have
waited patiently for a chance to change the political
environment in Bayelsa and on June 7th of this
year, I turned thirty five and I am ready to run. I am
a native of Bayelsa and a self –made successful
businessman who until sixteen years ago, was a
street vendor who scrounged for money and food
to survive. Determined to take myself and family
out of poverty, I worked day and night literally to
gain a foothold in the very challenging private
Nigerian economy.

After consulting with my family and friends, and
based upon the tremendous outcry from my home
state for help, I have decided to run for the office of
Governor of Bayelsa. For far too long, my people
have suffered from political oppression! Despite
being one of the wealthiest states in Nigeria, with
an abundance of natural resources, Bayelsa has
one of the highest unemployment rates in Nigeria.
Our children do not have modern schools or tools
to educate them. Our students abroad are stranded
without resources to complete their education. Our
infrastructure has been neglected resulting in
dangerous impassable roads, lack of potable water,
and basic human hygiene. Our older citizens have
been abandoned and left to die in poverty and poor
health. Our young, internationally educated young
men and women have been denied the opportunity
to run for office, and told that “the office of the
Governor is not for boys”. Young citizens of Bayelsa
who today seek change are being threatened and
intimidated for speaking up against the current
regime. Fear mongering and intimidation has no
place in Bayelsa and the time has come to end this
madness and take back our state from lying,
thieving, self-serving politicians.

Since Bayelsa became a state in 1999, there has not
been any private economic growth. Our people rely
solely on the allocation of Government funds to
survive, but the money never trickles down to them
due to wastefulness, mismanagement of funds, a
lack of leadership and self-serving agendas. Our
people have been cheated, lied to, misled,
neglected, and held in political bondage for far too
long and it is time to set my people free. My name
is Moses, and I will lead my people to the Promised
Land! I am running for Governor because it is time
to take back our state and usher in a new era of
leadership and prosperity for the people of Bayelsa.
Today, the youth of Bayelsa is crying for real
measureable change. The future of Bayelsa is in
dire straits. Our youth, the custodians of our future
are here to take back our state!

In July 2015, I will formally declare my campaign in
Bayelsa, and on Election Day, will make history as
the youngest elected person to the office of
Governor in the history of Nigeria. It is time for us,
the educated, proven successful business minded
professionals to lead. The office of the Governor is
NOT a trust fund for individualistic self-serving
agendas. It is the highest office of the state charged
with the responsibility of its people. As a successful
businessman, I will govern the state with a firm grip
on accountability and charge all those who will
work with me with great responsibility and high
integrity. I will bring in much needed international
investments and create sustainable and meaningful
private sector jobs. It is time for all foreign
contractor who come here year in and year out to
reinvest in our state. No longer will we allow the
world, and our current leadership to take
advantage of us. I aim to give hope to the hopes
and give voice to the voiceless. The time for real
measureable change is now! I am Moses Siloko
Siaisia and I am running for the office of the
Governor of Bayelsa to lead my people out of
political bondage and to a land of prosperity!
